Classes are for ages 12 and up.  There are different levels and many different dance styles available for Teens.  Please see schedule. TEENS, it is never too late to start taking a class! We have many beginners.

 

DRESS CODE FOR TEEN CLASSES

 

Teen tap - Dancewear and black flat tap shoes.

 

Teen Hip Hop classes - Dancewear at all times. Looser fitting shirts and dance pants (such as the harem pants) may be worn, however always wear a sports bra or crop top under. NO STREET SHOES in class.  No jeans. Shoes can be jazz shoes, Converse style tennis shoes or other tennis shoes ONLY USED FOR CLASS. Do not wear shoes from outside into the classroom. Hair should be out of face and no jewelry. 

 

Teen contemporary and lyrical - Dancewear and ballet shoes, jazz shoes or Dance "Paws" or similar style

 

Ballet classes- Please read carefully. Leotard color as per specific class. Pink tights, pink ballet shoes (leather or canvas for class). Most likely younger classes will use leather for recital and older classes will use canvas. Please purchase through DPU as they will need to match for recital. ALL of Mr. Kam's classes need black leotard and pink tights. For Ms. Meredith's ballet l, ll, lll, and lV classes students may wear solid black, turquoise, or cerise ( hot pink)  leotards with ballet pink tights.Ms. Meredith's intermediate and advanced may wear black or the navy or burgundy solid color leotards from last season with ballet pink tights. Hair must be in a bun for ALL ballet classes.  Failure to abide by dress code after first warning will result in student being provided and charged with necessary attire or asked to sit out of class. 

 

Beginner Teen Ballet with Ms. Gina may wear any color solid leotard and ballet pink tights and leather or canvas pink ballet shoes. 

 

Ballet skirts may also be worn in any ballet classes.

If you've never taken dance before why not give it a try? Many of our teens are beginners and intermediates, while many are on our competition team and aggressively pursuing their training. Recreationally or seriously, all have found their passion and love for dance.
