Rachel Rysanek

Rachel put on her first pair of dance shoes at the age of six.  Now in her twelfth year of dancing for DPU, she has trained in jazz, tap, ballet, poms, hip hop, contemporary, and aerial silks.  She was thrilled to be named Dupree’s Senior National Soloist for her tap routine in July of 2016.  She enjoys attending dance conventions and master classes where she always looks forward to learning from the incredibly talented instructors.  She’s discovered a new joy in dancing as she’s been able to assist and substitute at the studio for the past couple of years.  A senior at Fox High School, Rachel is a member of the elite College Accelerated Program and will graduate with her two year associate degree in May of 2017. Rachel has excelled with her teaching skills as she does in everything else, and now has her own classes on Wednesday evenings teaching pom and cheer and hip hop.  You are sure to see Rachel subbing in other classes as well.  Rachel has a wonderful connection with the students and we are so happy to officially welcome her to our DPU staff!
