About

Dance Productions Unlimited (DPU) is celebrating their 40th year serving the needs of dance students. The studio has been under the artistic direction of Lisa Dallas since the studio began.

DPU prides itself on being one of the most up to date and progressive studios in the Jefferson County and St. Louis areas.  We feature an adult teaching staff that specializes in the fields in which they teach, offer an exciting annual recital showcase as well as participate in conventions, competitions, and in studio master classes throughout the year.  Both team and recreational competition groups are available to those who qualify and wish to participate.

We believe that our students benefit highly from our dance classes which are based upon building self esteem, confidence, coordination, and promoting physical well being.  Our students are taught in a loving yet structured and disciplined atmosphere.

The studio features a large lobby waiting area and four large studio rooms totalling 7700 plus square feet. We have a receptionist on duty during all class times.  Additionally, we have dancewear, dance bags, gift items, and most dance shoes available to purchase right there for your convenience in our "Sweet 'n' Sassy" Boutique.   Parents can stay and view class on any one of our four monitors at anytime, or leave and pick up when class is over. Dancers have ample space to do homework between classes and can bring their healthy lunch or snacks and store it in our kitchen refrigerator, warming it up if necessary as well.  DPU has a "no junk food" policy in the studio, so please help our dancers abide by this healthy lifestyle.

Dancers from the studio have acted as Goodwill Ambassadors of the United States performing in Russia and Australia.  They’ve also performed on Carnival Cruise Lines, at Universal Studios in Orlando, and opened for the “Legends” show in Branson. Students have participated in the St. Louis VP Parade, St. Louis Muny Opera, National Tour of Beauty and the Beast, 42nd Street, Grease and Pajama Game on Broadway, Six Flags Palace Show, Int’l Tour of TapKids, ADC Dance Company, Ram’s Cheerleaders, Muny Kids, Macy’s Day Parade, Hoop City Kids, Jr. Star Search and Team ll Dancers to name a few.  They’ve also performed with the St. Louis Gateway Ballet, Mo. State Ballet, St. Louis Hoofer’s Club, St. Louis Variety Telethon, Dancin' In the Streets Festival, for local production companies, at community events, and for 18 years got rave reviews at the annual Chuck Norman Charity Christmas Party.  Many have received college scholarships in dance and theatre.  Through competitions and conventions, students have won numerous awards and cash prizes along with dance scholarships to study at studios such as Broadway Dance Center, The Millenium and the EDGE in Los Angeles, and more.  We’re very proud of all of our dancers' accomplishments!
